How come your green is so fast? |
|
| |
We use bent grass in tee, fairway, rough and green. Bent grass is the best grass in the temperate climate. With Bent grass in green, we can cut it so low that green speed can go as fast as 12 to 13 which matches the US PGA standard. Most of the top golf courses in the States use Bent grass, like Pebble Beach and Augusta National.

| |
Is there any pollution cause by your golf course? |
|
| |
No. It’s a misunderstanding people tend to think that golf course is pollution. Golf course does more good to the environment when it is managed properly. For example, before we build the golf course, the site is barren land and suffers erosion and land slide in rainy season. However, our turfing prevents such things happening. We also adopt the computerized system for irrigation and fertilization. The local government has also built the piping system around the lake to collect our storm water discharge so everything will be treated properly. We also have a sewerage treatment plant to treat the sewers in clubhouse and villas. The treated water is recycled for irrigation to the golf course. In 2009, these efforts has awarded Spring City as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International.

Mountain Course is relatively easier as it has wide fairways and designed for high handicappers. Lake Course is narrower and has smaller greens, it requires high accuracy. However, if you are good golfer, you would love the challenge.

In the beginning, the first three phases of resort homes are named after flowers, Primrose being the first, Magnolia and lastly Azalea. Since fourth and fifth phase resemble and promises luxury Spanish lifestyle, we named it as La Quinta I and latter La Quinta II. “La Quinta” in Spanish is known as “small estate on the outskirts of a town” or “villa”.
